Would someone kindly link thread to the Alaska Moose pictures. I'm up in Helena Montana this weekend and my brother in-law has a "large" moose on his wall that he shot up in Alaska. I want to show him the picture to clarify what "large" is.

Thanks

ummmm....I've been searching the threads for the pictures that were posted and so far have not found the picture...thus my request for someone to link said thread.

Here is a 1/4 of the moose in Montana.:yum:

Yeah, that was a two lane dirt road the moose was on.....

I know, PG, you were thinking of the size of his......ummmm...............

antlers!

What were YOU thinking, naughty girl??

Largest recorded moose was a yukon moose. It stood 92" at shoulder. I was also sent those pics, not by Lyndon. If that is a dirt road how big do you think it is? The rack doesn't look that full, nothing to cross-reference. If that board is ten feet long use it to check. See any shadows? A moose that big throws abig shadow. I have seen a lot of moose up close and personal. Something doesn't fit. With photoshop who knows.

This critter was shot in our area , that is a 12ft ceiling in his garage, note the hind legs had to be cut off to hoist it up. It was supposed to be a new record. 64.5" rack

We have a few moose in the Big Horn Mountains. I do not hunt them except with a camera. We have several each week that will pass through our yard/property often taking a break and staying for hours or even several days before moving on to greener pastures. Below are a few moose pics we have taken in the past couple years in our area. Many seem to be almost tame but you must be careful as they often become extremely aggressive if they feel threatened by people/dogs being too close...............:ermm:

I think the Big Horns have the largest moose in the state now. I took a decent for Wyoming moose in 09 sw of Jackson hole. A buddy had two horses and I had my two mules. 3 were fully loaded and one had maybe 50lbs meat on him. That was the hardest dang hunt and the longest I've every spent quartering any game. We're still eating moose! Wolves have been real hard on em last few years.
