Mainer, you have asked for pictures of the moose hunting rigs we use in Alaska so here they are enjoy. The one has a differential from a Bombadier SV252 with custom hubs and polurethane drive sprockets we make for a FN20

These are wild! Insane! I feel like I'm looking at a 601 that's graduated from high-school and is off to the real world! These things look like they're ready for combat or a stint in the Thunderdome world.
So how many people usually tool around in these? What kind of terrain do they go after? Goal to haul out 1-2 moose?
What is the usual upgrade program for these puppies? Is there a sort of general recipe/area of weak-links list?
Cool pics! I was looking at them at work and had to stop because I was getting into one of my 601-trances when I start babbling about 601's around normal non-eccentric people (ie, those unenlightened that haven't found the new eccentric religion of snowcat acquisition). There I go again thinking people find them interesting!
The one with the gray wheels has been in use for a number of years. has living quarters in the back, inverter, heater, stove, fridge. Spotting bench on top. the weakest point on the 601's is the wheel axles. Bar none they really need to be upgraded in rough rocky ground. they can snap. we have upgraded to 2" and gone to rubber torsion instead of spring.
