Mineral Makeup Scam?

I just got one of those "Congratulations, you have won a free....", phone calls.
I played along just out of curiosity talking to the woman on the phone.

Seems I was one of MANY lucky winners! of a bag of mineral makeup products worth $175, plus a free $100 gas voucher. All I had to do was pay with my credit card the $1+$8.95 fee for processing and shipping.

I said, "Doesn't sound free to me."
She said "Well all I need is a card number.When you signed up for our promotion online, you said you had several cards."
Huh? I signed up for no such promotion, and I don't have a CC, just a debit card.
Was this just one of those fly by night bullshit calls, or should I be concerned about my bank account being messed with in the future?

When I stated the above, she quickly hung up without saying thank you.
Hmmmmm...

I'm on the do-no-call list. I get their number and report them to the FCC.

I had called some number a year or so ago to put me on that do-not-call list, and they've been few and far between.
This call this morning just sorta bugged me.

Definatly a scam PG , My wifes been getting the same type of call on her cell phone in the last 2 weeks & She dont even wear makeup , let alone buy it . I wont tell you how those conversation went

I would never give any banking info or credit card #,s over the phone Or online for that matter
