Got back yesterday afternoon about 3:30 or so, me and Bruce (Fabricator) had a tough ride to Duluth, the roads were slick as snot! However from Duluth on were dry and smooth, Kirk and Don followed for awhile then we stopped and got some chow at the casino and waited for the roads to improve. I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved with this event, it was very memorable and will attend again next year. After having a few adult beverages last night I recalled some of the highlights for me which there isn't space here for them all, the very minute we arrived we were greeted by Bruce at the resort and made us feel welcome instantly, what a lovely resort he has there. I came to the conclusion that between "Snowcat Matt" and "Cootbruce", this event was what really made this event happen without them knowing each other last year, the event would have taken a much different route then the success it had this year.
I took many pictures which I will post later on this week. I just want to thank everyone there for "teaching" me on this machine I just bought, what a thrill it was! And to Mike, I will jack her up and check the measurement of the track to wheel. And also thanks to the ladies that were there with kids, wow, wow, remember the hot dog roast with screwdrivers??? Again, thanks to everyone attending even the spectators, I'm sure next year will even be better. I have to go now and start selling some bait, so again thanks guys:clap::w00t2::wow::smile: Oh this is for 300H and H, keep that beacon lit my friend !!!!

Wow. I was WAY off the mark with a 50m jump (deceiving camera angle?).:ermm: I using references of the ten & 30m that are relatively local and the 70m & 90m at Lake Placid.

I tried to find the size, but since it's one of only six Ski Flying hills in the world, it's classified a little different than a jump hill (which it is being reconfigured to be). That being said, that would have made it a 175m hill :w00t2:, and the reconfigured Jump Hill is planed to be a 120m.

And after being on the top of the 90m at Placid, that's a frickin' long trip from top to bottom!!

great event and to all that put it on, well done, love to see more photos and stories from the clowder in the powder, wonderful family event with the kids!!! again, very well done!

hope the sno-cat community can continue to put on a event in different parts of the country each month of sno-cat season, thus, having 3 or 4 annual events each winter.

Here's a few I have. Enjoy

Well I had better chime in here... I don't want the Tucker owners to get the wrong idea...From the Globe artical.

I will fallow a Tucker any time or place gladly.:flowers: I was just pointing out that the operational norms for them are at a slower pace than for a Snow Trac or Thiokol Imp for instance.

I had a fantastic time at the Clowder. After our experiances last year, I knew we would. It was great to actually make this an official event after last years "test run". Bruce and the staff at Powder Horn made this an official "reality" for us to participate in and enjoy. I have not smiled so much, and for so long for some time. Thanks to you Bruce and your staff.

I hope Connie from Snow Grooming magazine will find us here and share some of the pictures she took from Friday's cross country ride to Lake Superior.. I am thinking she may be a future snow cat owner after that experiance. There comes a point in life you consider graduating from sleds to something more substantial!!

Bait Guy, you and your friend Bruce were a true pleasure to hang with. (the beacon running in the cat show line up was to say the "bar is open" as the windows fogged up:wink:) They introduced me to Dr. Migillacutties

And yes the roads sucked till South of Duluth 50 or so miles.:whistling: But we made it home safe and sound.

Pics to come from me yet...

Regards, Kirk

The photo above says it all.....the child is about 8 yrs old, the guy is ?0........they both have the same look on their face.....

I too would like to thank Bruce and the staff at Big Powderhorn for hosting a great event. I am sure there are a few more people afflicted with snow cat fever and we will see a slew of new FF members. I am looking forward to hearing from Skishooter in the future.

As always here is some eyecandy to feed the forum... Thanks to all who came out to make the weekend a great time!

Hey is that the tucker we won? Apple Creek entered the competition and made the lucky pull of the winning ticket? I thought we won the proto type machine that was from medford!

According to Track inc there are some items built onto the prototype they can't get.

Many of the (Changes) are in the tracks. Apple Creek Snow
Ryders is really pumped about winning this machine.

it is used but still in the package so to say.

While looking for pete,,,,, I Heard my name on the loud speaker and well the rest is history..

I just need to get the wrapper off and oil it up a bit.

The 343 and 342 models were made in the mid '60's. Shorter tracks 18X76 instead of 18X84. Weight 3300 to 3900 lbs.Check out "tye one on" machine at Leavenworth.

I did not get a chance to operate the Bison, hell I never got a ride in any of the big boys....

did anyone get a photo from the fun side of that brute. the lighting is fantastic and the three seats made quick work of creating smiles and life long memories.

But seriously no photos from the silly seat?

I didn't realize how many showed till i went to the facebook page.
Shure wished i didn't have to cross two mountain ranges to go.

Jim, I feel the travel pain, Offers of assistance have been extended to me, so here is mine:
Transportation:
Fly over here, I will deliver a car at the airport, You insure it but it would be yours to use. (Green bay, Wausau preferred, But MSP would be easy with a little notice)
Snow cat
I had a different operators in the snow cats all weekend long, Hell I only saw Sean drive that cute little powder horn tucker a couple times.
Lodging
The entire powder horn village has rental opportunities for singles to large groups, our house gained people all weekend, I am sure to have a bigger house next year.

I would be cat sucking at the meow If I could find a way to get out of four days of lecturing here....
