MEDIA BIAS (this is humor!)

A biker was hanging out at the zoo, when he saw a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabbed her by the cuff of her jacket, and tried to pull her inside to devour her, all in eyesight of her screaming parents.

The biker hearing the ruckus, ran to the cage and hit the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Flinching from the pain, the lion jumped back, letting go of the little girl, and the biker scooped her up and brought her to her terrified parents, who thanked him endlessly.

A New York Times reporter had watched the whole event. The reporter approached the biker, saying, "Sir, that was the most gallant and bravest thing I ever saw a man do in my whole life!"

The biker replied, "Why it was nothing, really, ...the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little girl in danger, and acted as I felt I had to."

The reporter said, "I'm a journalist from the New York Times, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page! Tell me a little about yourself, ...what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?"

The biker replied, "I'm a U. S. Marine and a Republican."

The following morning the biker bought a copy of the Times to see if it indeed had news of his actions, and read on front page:

"U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT and STEALS HIS LUNCH."​
