I've been thinking about replacing a few tires. Where did you buy yours, and how much did they cost? I also need a rim for the missing spare.

I actually bought my rims of off E-Bay, however http://www.millertire.com have the exact rims also.
As far as the tires go, I had no problem finding them. Most all tire dealers could get them, I just happened to get mine from Kan-Rock tire.

I am replacing two of my tires, the others are 600 15. The closest size implement tire s I can find are 640-15 and 590-15. Any thoughts on which would be best?

Has anybody tried 205/75/15 trailer tires? I like the idea of a stiffer trailer tire sidewall and diametrer size is about the same. E-trailer shows 27.4" tall for bias ply

Yes, I looked into using a 205/75 trailer tire for the same reasons, but the problem you run into is, on a 601 with the "drop center" grousers, the 205/75 tire width is too wide to fit the contour of the drop center of the 601 grouser. The tire wants to ride on more of the lower side wall and does not allow the actual tread of the tire to seat properly in the bottom of the drop center of the grouser. I'm not saying that they wouldn't work, but you would have premature ware of the tire over time.

I never tested a 205/75 tire on a 4T track with tire guides, so I can't say one way or another if they would work.

In my opinion, I would run the biggest size of tire that would still give you acceptable distance between the front tire and the second tire when the track adjuster is adjusted to allow the front tire to move to the rear as far as it can and not get "abnormally" close to the second tire. and also make sure whatever tire u go with, that it fits properly in between your tire guides on the track.

My 4t10 was converted to a c-15 rear end and auto trans with 601 tracks. Before I had the machine a previous owner had replaced two tires on one side with 205-15s which are about 1.5 inches taller than the 600-15s on the rest of the machine. With the tensioners set the same on both sides this made my track tighter on the side with the 205 in front. It took me a while to realize this was why my track was tighter on one side. I have since put a 205 on each side in the second position. The 205s seem to run ok but they are noticably taller. I need to replace two addtional tires but I can't find any 600-15s, so it looks like I will have three different sizes on my cat. Looks like I will go with the 640-15 implement tires until I have the time next summer to have them all the same. I plan on running these in the third position air filled.
The ones that need to be replaced are the rear tires and I hope I can do this without taking the track apart. Should be interesting.
