An interesting turn of events led to the purchase of another cat..... Should be a fun project!
Well I was cruising the Facebook. Snow cat restoration page, someone had a picture of an ST4B, another gentleman stated he had one of those sitting around, it was there when he bought the place. I sent gentlemen a PM asking if he was wanting to sell. He sent me a message back stating yes, where are you located? I said Northern Wyoming. He said he was located in hyattville Wyoming, which is about 40 miles from my house. I said I bet I know where you live, I think he got a little wigged out. I make it a point to know about most snow cats in my area. Drove up there this morning looked at snow cat, made an offer as I was driving down the mountain he texted said he accepted the offer. I went home hooked up to trailer drove back loaded up snow trac. I guess the rest is history. I'm not a good storyteller, but this was an interesting day. Now the work starts it's been sitting for quite a few years. But I think it will be a nice cat."An interesting turn of events".
Oh do tell please.
It is one of Bill guthries steel cab conversions. I'm guessing it's quite heavy. It is a military snow trac. Hopefully we'll get it running soon and see how it performs. That sure looks like it would make a nice "keeper" lol...
Love the cab extension, as head room it a bit tight for a tall person.
What is the extension fabricated of?
It went to a good home. Yours....

I would like to make the loop Up cold Springs, Past the paintrock lakes, Over snoshoe pass, Down Shell canyon to parking area this winter in the Super imp or the snotrac (guessing the super imp....). Or the Mega trip, From Deerhaven to Bearlodge. That would be a fun ride!! But prob need a group for that trip!If we ever get some snow you'll have to bring it up to Trapper. We can still drive a pickup to Cow Camp. I can't believe that SnowTrac was sitting in our back yard and I didn't know it!
