LMC2100 Hand Brake

Depending on vintage it could be GM, I was told by a former employee at LMC that at some point all the GM parts had to be replaced by Ford parts as GM didn't do business with DMC after a certain point.

I ended up getting a piece of brake material then useing an old pad as a pattern I traced the pad onto the material. Next step was cutting the piece out with a band saw, The final step was using my router and closely follow the pattern line ///end result looked like a new brake pad. Next step was having a local industrial brake place take my pads and bond them onto metal baking plates. Total cost about $160 vs $540 plus shipping costs from a snowcat parts place,

I have found that IF IT SAYS SNOW CAT ON IT....BETTER HAVE DEEP POCKETS.
Thiokol used as much off the shelf parts as they could....
DMC (DeLorean) sucked the life out of the company and his reputation fouled a lot of things.....

When Thiokol manufactured these cats they used Ford 300 six cylinder engines and the 391 V8 in the 2100.
Some got the Ford diesels as well.
The Sprytes got the smaller 6 cylinder engines.....And the Imp got other stuff....

I have never seen a Thiokol or any of its later incarnations with GM anything in them.

I am using a GM 400 small block in my 2100 cat......Everything Small block Chevy is easy to make work with just about anything....
