LMC 1500 Carb

I am looking for a carter two barrel BBD carb #8256 that I can rebuild for my LMC 1500 snowcat
I'd like to rebuild it and install it rather than rebuild mine at my cabin and end up having problems Would be a long walk home
The engine is a AMC 258 inline six cylinder
Thanks

i would look in to finding a jeep to get the carb offf of the bbd were prone to loose screws that held the bodies together you may just have to pull yours off tighten up thescrews and put it back on. that said i like the reliability of my single barrel carter on my older cj-5 to change would require a different intake too

Thats for the reply
I"ve tryed the wrecking yards here seems they don"t have any AMC that old(1985)
Runs good seems a little rich Acts like its flooded if you stop it when its hot and try to start it in a few minutes

take it off there are some screws that go up from the bottom they come loose and cause rich operating conditions i may have an old feed back bbd but you don't want that ammc eagles used them also 6 cylender pick ups try some jeep forums my guess there will be some one willing to gve you a rebuildable core

yes i would like to sell i also have dist complete with new cap and wires coil fuel pump if you have a interest give me pm with a contct # and best time to call

i have one that i just took off and replace with fuel injection pm #

When you're all done, Mind if you post some pictures of your conversion in a new thread? I'm sure many others have considered this upgrade. I am assuming it's in a snow cat btw...

Regards, Kirk
