Just got a shitty phone call from a childhood friends wife. Rick and I grew up together in Mi. and Came to Ca, together in 1980. We were even in the same trade. About 20 years ago he got MS and now he is in the final stages of it. Wife said he is being put into Hospice and has stopped eating and drinking, so it won't be long. He is back in Mi. now not far from where we grew up.

MS sucks. I have a childhood friend who was diagnosed with it at a young age and living with it close to 40 years.
We all have to go sometime. It's a sad reality of life.

My wife's cousin had MS for many years. He eventually cured it by taking his .45 into the back yard. As Bob said it's horrible for the person inflicted and he just couldn't stand it anymore. Sad but it was a relief to all those involved.

Like Franc said, it comes with getting old. I still have plenty of acquaintances, people to pass pleasantries with but I have only a couple of good friends left.
