Now who are the racist!
NewBusters said:Updated with correction [11:43 a.m. EDT]: Yahoo! Washington bureau chief David Chalian made the offensive remark, ABC News's Julie Townsend told NewsBusters in a phone conversation a few minutes ago.
During live coverage of the Republican National Convention here in Tampa, [original wording: an ABC News employee] Yahoo! News Washington bureau chief David Chalian provided the perfect example of the pervasive anti-Republican bias Mitt Romney faces in his bid to unseat President Barack Obama.
In video broadcast Monday night by ABC over the Internet, [strike]the person[/strike] Chalian can be heard claiming that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife Ann are unconcerned about the fate of residents of the New Orleans area who are currently being hit by Hurricane Isaac.
“They aren’t concerned at all,” the person says on tape. “They are happy to have a party when black people drown.”
That line elicits laughter from several employees listening in on the joke.
From the audio, it appears the person Chalian was talking to an unknown individual named “John” who presumably was making additional jokes at the expense of Ann Romney although such jokes cannot be heard on the clip.
The anti-Romney joke was made while the person, presumably an ABC News producer, was on an active microphone, apparently unaware that his/her quips against the former Massachusetts governor were being recorded and broadcast live.
Unmentioned by the ABC News jokester is the fact that the Republican National Committee canceled the entirety of Monday's program or that President Obama did not cancel any of his regularly scheduled campaign fund-raising parties that night.

I watched her speech. Of course Ann Romney's and Chris Christie's speeches are getting most of the publicity this morning but she is a very intelligent woman.
This is just one person who posted those hateful remarks and will never reflect all liberals but it does underscore the fear that Democrats have for Blacks that do not think the way they do nor bow down to their rhetoric.
Remarks like that will serve to make here a stronger woman, not a weaker one.
Yes, she did use a teleprompter. It was her first time ever using one, and it was the largest audience she had ever spoke in front of. No surprise there. I saw a report about her prepping for the most important speech in her entire life and she said the thing that made her most nervous was the teleprompter, since she had never used one.Did you know Ann Romney used a teleprompter? I think I have heard for the last 3 or 4 years that means you are stupid or soemthing The guy who made racist remarks on wiki was just one idiot, I could find a bunch of ignorant rednecks on the internets with hate themes on obama and other blacks and call them conservative hate. This outrage stuff does seem to play well on the right. Why is that?

I don't believe anyone said that everyone who uses a teleprompter is 'stupid' but I have heard it said if a person cannot speak without one then they might be considered 'stupid'.
As some who has dropped his index cards during a public speaking event, I have defended their use for years. And yes, she did a great job. Just mentioning yet another inconsistancy.
Mak , is she running for office ? Has she been branded a great orator? You got nothing !
