LH318 camshaft

The cam in my LH318 is toast. Looking for recommendations on a cam that works well for these. It is in a tucker 1342 with a stock carb and manifolds.

We used a cam from Hughes Engines on the 1544. That Tucker has the 360 Industrial engine. I think the one we used is part number SEH1620AL-12. I don't know that it made a big difference, but the engine ran better after getting the new cam. But we did some other things at the same time, so was the improvement due to the cam or something else?

Thank you! I’m not looking for power gains but it seems there a so many options out there I’d hate get one that doesn’t work.

Hey just a quick heads up todays engine oils no longer contain the zinc & phosphorus that flat tappet cams need to survive. Older engines already well broken in seem to do ok at least for awhile but stories abound out there concerning rounded cam lobes in engines that don't have rollers.

Thank you. I plan to run oil we stock that has a high zinc content. This cat is new to me so I don’t know it’s history. My other cat gets the same oil.
