So one of the lads is sorting through the mail down at the sorting office, when he comes across a letter addressed just to 'Father Christmas'.
He says to his mate, 'What am I supposed to do with this', his mate says 'I dont know, you might as well just open it'.
"Dear Father Christmas
I'm having a bastard of a time at the moment
My wife has left me and the kids, I've lost my job and dont have any money coming in.
This is going to be the worst christmas ever, especially for the kids, as I cant afford to buy them anything, and its beginning to look like its pot noodles for christmas dinner.
I'm wondering, if you lend me £300 It'd go a long way helping me out, and I'm certain after the holiday I'll have a good job and be able to pay you back.
I hope you can help santa."
The fella in the sorting office has read the letter out, to some of them and the decide "fuck it, lets have a whip around for the poor bastard, its crimbo after all"
So they collect about £250 from the staff and send the money to the bloke.
A month or so later, the fella notices another letter addresses to santa and realizes its from the fella they had a whip around for, so he gathers them all up to read the letter.
"Dear Father Christmas
Thanks for the money you sent me.
With it I was able to buy my kids a present each, and some new clothes, I even got
a big turkey for dinner, and had enough left over for a bottle of wine.
I'm ever so grateful, you really helped me out and should be proud of yourself
PS I know I asked for £300, but I only got £250
Dont worry about it, its not your fault
Its them robbing bastards down at the post office"
