OK, I have to fess up, I've not used my chain saw in 3 years. I know I didn't use it last year, and the year before that we spend the summer in the UK so I didn't use it then either. So its been sitting 3 years now since I got it back.

Changed out the fuel, checked the spark plug for fouling, cleaned up everything and started it up. Took a while, but it started, and it ran just fine. Toss it in the tractor bucket and drive down to the valley where we have some tree fall from the winter that needs to be cut.

Whoever borrowed the saw put the chain on backwards!!! :glare:

Admit it. . . which one of you was it. Or was it my brother :whistling: the guy who didn't know to turn the butterfly valve under the fuel tank of his generator to get the gas to flow down to the engine!?!

Remind me later this summer NEVER TO LEND OUT A TOOL to a family member :hammer:

Wern't me , I learned my lesson the first 3 times I put it on backwards on mine . Bad thing is I'm dead serious . :yum:

Last Tool i let a family member use was a power jigsaw for him to cut out some plywood.....come back with the side casing cracked and non-working.....he swore he got it like that....i swore many things back but mostly never to loan out tools to family or friends ever again......6 years later my tools have never been abused since.

You can choose your tools but not your family:yum::yum::yum:

Motto of toolworkers everywhere(or should be)
My wife, yes
My dog, maybe
My tools over your dead body.

Be glad you still have the saw...My CrackHead neighew..stole the saw and left the case..took awhile to find out it was gone..:hammer:

But if it is on backwards in North America does that mean that it will work fine in Australia?

My tools over your dead body.

That's almost the mantra that I've adopted over the years.

I've stopped loaning tools out to people, family included. If it's for a good cause, I'd much rather take my tools and do the work for them, if it's not something that touches me ... screw them.

My dogs ... no freekin' way.

My wife ... she's not for loan or sale but I will rent her out by the hour. :yum::yum::yum: If she ever reads this, I'm dead meat. :yum:

Oh, by the way, I can honestly say that I've never put on a chain saw chain backwards.

Lend yours to my brother, if he doesn't return it with the chain on backwards then he will talk to you while you are doing work and you'll end up so confused you put it on backwards!
