Little known fact: Las Vegas is an obscure Latin phrase. It means “Sprawling Urban Shithole In The Middle Of Nowhere, Punctuated By A Vomitously Gaudy, Plastic, Festering Open Sore Called The Strip.” I was condemned to a TDY there some years ago, when some agency or other analyzed the public sewage & determined “We’re Number One!” re: meth consumption. Victory!

Great place. Really.

I don't travel a lot any more but New Jersey and filthadelphia are on the bottom of my list.
Some parts of Jersey are nice. Once you get within 20 miles of Newark or Phila, it gets bad real quickly.
That said, I'll pile on the votes for NYC, Philadelphia. Would also throw in metro Baltimore (except for the Inner Harbor which was nice when I was there years ago).

Since I've lived across the pond in the UK, I'd have to add two places in Leeds.
Harehills, Beeston and I never felt safe in certain parts of Wakefield because of the Pakistani population.
Sad to say also, Terre Haute/West Terre Haute, Indiana is now a shithole.
That's where my Grandparents and parents are from.
My cousins tell me it's nothing like it used to be.

I have a cousin that married a brit and moved over there 15 years ago. She came home for a visit just before covid she said their being over run by "curry people" that are turning the country she liked in to a sewer they came from.
There planning on coming back to the us permanently when he retires in a couple years.

Haven’t been many places, but I vote for every city! I find them all dirty and crowded and smelly. I live in the country and the closest neighbor is a half mile away. I can walk outside and take a leak anywhere and nobody complains, do that in a city and people look at you like your a creep 😂. I’m not a traveller at all and have no desire to travel to a city anywhere, biggest one I’ve been to is Toronto, my wife wants to see New York and Paris and a bunch of other big ones. Not for me.
