Afraid not. I was too busy playing with the toys. Got to romp around with the BV and then the Tucker. Could have done that till dark, but we had to 'share'. :pirate:

Now the real question. Which one was "King Of The Hill" this year?

Last year the wide track Camoplast Troopers did great but they also were not legal width with the extra wide tracks on for highway transport. What major brand manufacturers showed up and how did they stack up against each other? I also really liked the Tucker 2000 last year for simple ease of operation and maintenance. Did SnoOps unload the Super Imp?

:nopics:

Give us More pics..............:thumb:

I think we may have to take some rep points away from ole Bobby for his lack of pictures. Isn't that a major faux pas around here? :slap:

Same deal, Camoplast came with 10s just to pretend they were king of the hill. :yum: They tore up the hillsides a bit and the Tuckers had to fill in the holes for them. We got there kind of late, so I'm not sure who showed up, but we saw Tucker, Camoplast, and Maxey (trailers). Mikey is out playing with the Imp today, supposedly taking the advanced operators course.

All I can say is sometimes you're in the game and sometimes you're on the sidelines taking pictures. Yesterday I was in the game. :moon:

However, Mrs. SafetyOne was taking pictures with some professional looking gear, so there should be some on their site soon.

You could have at least got some pics of Mrs. SafetyOne... :a1: :thumb:

Glad you enjoyed the event - I sure did last year. And yes, you do get spoiled in that $120k+ Tucker. But, as others have mentioned, the Camo with the hydro drives and micro-controls was a BLAST to drive...

There's an LMC1500 parked next to the hotel right now. It may be the disabled Verizon unit.

Mikeys report...

Hey Guys just a word of caution about frostbite. Yesterday started out as a beautiful day. The temp was 6 degrees and no clouds in sight. That quickly changed 4 hours into tha adavanced operators course I was taking. VERIZON purchased two LMC 1500 which are very nice cats. This particular one in the class was a TURD. The hadle latches broke, engine started to smoke and tranny was acting up. The instructor decided the cat was unsafe since all of these things started to go wrong with it. He decide to bring it back down to the trailer and load it up and continue the class splitting the remainder of the cat crew up between the "good" cats. Thats when the tranny froze up. It would not come out of drive. The weather was starting to get nasty at this point. the wind started in and the tempurature dropped. As we hooked up my recovery straps to the cat the weather really got nasty! Visability was 10 feet at best and the wind chill was between - 40 and -60 degrees below zero. Everyone not involved in the recovery stayed in there cats and the other two guys kept going back in to our cats to prevent frostbite. Even with these precautions a few of us had white patches on our noses and cheeks. This is the beggining of frostbite and you MUST get shelter if you see this. Had the cat broke down a few minutes later it would have just been abondoned. As it was the instructor was able to get it in nuetral and get it started. The engine was maybe running on two cylinders but it ran never the less and was towed back to the trailer 5 miles away by a Trooper Camoplast. I brung up the rear and all made it out ok. At 12,226 feet the weather can turn on you in a matter of minutes. Be prepared and limit your exposure out in the wind. I would have stayed out until everything was hooked up but the Instructor limited my time outside and sent me back to my cat every 60 seconds being out of it. I still had some beggining stages frostbite! If it wasnt for his knowledge being in these extreme conditions I probrably wouldnt have a nose. I am just glad I learned this in a class environment with people who know what they are doing. I now will carry this knowledge with me out in the field. IF you havent taken a snowcat operators course I highly reccomend Saftey One out of Colorado. The have several basic operators courses each year. I took one of those 7 years ago and learned life saving skills in that course. This course the advanced operators course was incredable! Sorry I didnt take any pictures but the camera lens froze solid with ice. Besides out in that stuff I really didnt give a shit about getting pictures.

The Verizon unit did not have enough power to load onto the trailer. Its still there waiting to get picked up buy a Flatbed tow truck. The LMC above belongs to one of the instructors.

AND yes That is Mrs Saftey One! She is as nice as she is beautiful!

!

Leave them a note in the cab of the 1500 for me.. Wanted fixer upper snowcat!!!! XXX-XXX-XXXX Yes I am Serious

Just think Bobp..........now all you need is a REAL snowcat instead of that kids toy KRISTI thingy and you'll be all set to graduate from kindergarden and join the big boys playing with big boy toys!

It would appear from your recent experience that if the 'REAL' snow cat were a Lametrac, all of the playing will occur in a ditch along the road or in the garage. No thanks!

SnoOps asked the operators about acquiring the remains, but they obviously can't make the decision to sell. It will hopefully be passed up the chain.

I offered them my Super Imp for 30K plus There broke dick LMC1500! But the y were just the techs. My Super Imp fully loaded climbed a bit higher than the one 8' wide Camoplast! Everyone was shocked. :4_11_9: :thumb: BUT the Camoplast if hooked up to both the LMC and Super Imp it could drag both of them sideways without breaking a sweat! Very nice cat! Its manuverability was increadable. Anyone would be more than happy to own one! BUT my heart is set on a new Tucker XL2000! In fact I will be selling all my cats to get one in the next few years! SO I will be selling my Snow Master, Swamp Spryte, Thiokol 1202B 6 passenger and my Super Imp. Time to go and play with the Big Boys! Man that Tucker was a Cadillac!

Mike . How big do I have to be to play with ??? I ain't exactly small now :snow2_smi: . You mentioned selling your collection . I emailed you a man's name who wants a Snow Trac . He plans to rebuild one and I would think he would be interested in yours even though it is disassembled .Just a thought .
Glad your having a good time !

I just want a new Tucker! But then again who wouldnt! I plan on still rebuilding my Snow Master first then selling her. Maybe...... Only if the price is right. It will be the nicest Snow Master to date. .....Shut up BobP! Dont even start!
