haven't posted much since my trip west. I just didn't have anything interesting to say. I just took another 2 weeks off to work on a project that has been delayed for 2 years. Last year's 300' drainpipe took precedence.
I'm working on my landscaping, when you can't afford to hire you do it yourself.
My lot slopes down to the house and I have no flat area for a lawn for sitting.
A few years back I decided if I build a retaining wall 36" to 40" high and fill to the garage I can have a sitting area, I also want a fire pit.
My wife and I like the rustic look which makes my life a lot easier. My place is all granite boulders everywhere so rough stone will fit right in.
The first week, with the help of a friend I did the wall, about 60' I started a set of stairs and poured a pad for the fire pit. the pit is built into the wall so I can use it for cooking from the front and once the I back fill the yard we can sit around a fire in the ground.
