From another forum.

I refuse to speculate on the lady's hair color.

Lady gets locked in her car and calls 911

I shouldn't laugh like that. We were actually trapped inside the car one time. It was -39. The windows would not go down. The door lock mechanisms inside the door were frozen solid. We had a cell phone so we called roadside assistance and explained the situation. Their suggestion.....use a hairdryer on the door locks from the outside.

Hello????? We're trapped INSIDE the car!!!!! Must have been a blond on the other end of the phone. We finally got out after an hour or so of trying the doors.

Unfortunately, that sounds like my wife. :hide:

I don't think it is - she has on-star now - and that is a good thing!

An elderly (late 80's) couple we know bought their first "new" car. The wife was playing with the buttons on the door - when they got to the store they couldn't get out. Couldn't figure out how to unlock the doors (it had the anti-theft locks, the kind that you can't get a hold of when in the locked position), didn't realize the key had to be "on" to roll down the windows...

They ended up writing a message and placing it against the window. A teenager came along and told them to turn on the key and roll down the window, at which point he showed them how to unlock the doors.

When telling about the adventure, they said something about those "new fangled gizmos..."

What's a gizmo? :whistling:

Back in the days when tape decks where hung under the dash and easily stolen my wonderful girlfriend at the time used to lock the doors religiously but then would leave the window open.

As long as it was a blond attempting to rob her I bet her tape deck was safe. :yum: :yum:

This could happen if the door handle was in an American car. Stuff that would never happen in a foreign car would happen in an American car.
