It may be this one that came from somewhere in northern AZ;

"This Kristi came from an old rancher that I bought my WW2 half-track from, he used it to haul feed to his cattle when the snow got too deep, I believe it is a 1957, the place on the data sheet where it was printed is gone, the engine data plate says it was built in 1956, the engine is VW and runs really well, it will need some fuel system work since the unit has been parked for around 20 years, I haven't tried to drive it because the bogie tires won't hold air, but the rancher said it was driven when parked, but you have all probably heard that before, the body appears to be crack free, the interior is in very good condition, the trailer is included and it looks like it is the original Kristi tilt bed trailer...."

The one that this describes was sold to someone in Durango in January 2010. Possibly the same one(?)...

I see it's found it's natural habitat.......

:whistling:

....loaded up on a trailer:wink:

My first thought too was how the trailer looked kind of small for that load. The tires certainly give that impression. Years ago I had to act fast on a Tucker Sno Kitten I knew about that came up for sale without warning. The guy knew I wanted it and owed me a favor so I think he was hoping to get more money before I found out he was selling it. The only trailer I had laying around at that moment was an old 8 foot long two place snowmobile trailer with "slipper springs" on the light duty axle. I raced the twenty or so miles and shamed him into a deal. The trailer groaned as we drove the Kitten on and I carefully drove home. Upon inspection the trailer bed (frame) had severely cracked in three places and one spring had "slipped" out of it's retainer. But I made it home and had the Kitten so the trailer was considered "collateral damage". If you want something bad enough you have to be prepared to carry it out on your back if need be.

It is a KT3 and it has a lot of work done to it . new windows , vent holes in hood , new rack on top . The trailer looks to be Kristi too .

I have a general idea of where it might "live."

Would it be too stalker-ish to drive around the neighborhood, and if I find it, knock on the door?

Never really looked at a Kristi up close, and despite the abuse they take here, I'm still kinda intrigued by them.

I would be very carefull there is an ass in that area that claims any and all kristis in existence and you may get a trespass ticket or sued for walking on his property

I see it has a spare can of gas mounted on the side. That is very thoughtful. That way the Kristi owner can give some gas to the to vehicle owner for pulling the Kristi out of a snow drift :whistling:
