Moving up in the world there a bit, aren't you Jim? I suppose the Snow Trac will be goin down the road?

Nice ride. If I lived where you do it would be so cool, and practical. For me my where I live, my machine is enough. Enjoy!!

Regards, Kirk

Don't know how to break into them.

I do know it's normally a 4 digit code. Those 4 digits can be entered in any order.

E.g. If the code is 0421, you can enter 0124 or any other combination of those 4 numbers.

IIRC, they commonly come from the factory programmed for 1234. Then the buyer reprograms from there. You might try that, just in case it never got reprogrammed.

Some Cat systems come with a default password of 0000, until changed by the owner/operator. very seldom did I see the owner/operators bother with changing the password.

snow trac is staying. I am just finishing with a new muffler. I didn't tell them but everyone thought I had a 63 bus when I picked up the muffler. My new fuse box in it is installed and ready for testing as soon as I get the engine back in.
after that I'll start on the canyon. It has 570hrs and also a VW engine only diesel.
I got a tour of the place they build the pistenbully scout when I was in reno friday.

I got the code and found a full set of keys inside. Somehow with the previous owners name i got his unlisted phone number from the internet white pages.
thanks for all the help.

Congrats! they are a great machine. Minimal experience with one,but was impressed. Was not as impressed with the scout, but had even less time behind the wheel.
