Kennedy Assassination Files, long hidden, now "Declassified"

Did we already know the truth or has the truth been hidden?

I guess we will find out soon enough as the Kennedy assassination files have just been declassified. Given that President Kennedy was murdered when I was just youngster, this seems a lot more like a historic event than a political move. Not sure the public was really clamoring for this, but I think history buffs will be digging into the files.

What proof do we have that anything much less anything in those files represents the truth? Besides, that event was over 60 years ago.
There are people who were involved at the time but, how many will come forward and validate those files?
People who might have known the "truth" are likely all dead.

I totally agree they were whitewashed in the 70's I'm sure
