Just some kind thoughts

For Alonzo Tubb's Father , He's 88 years old and not in good health .
Hopefully You can say a prayer or two for His Dad .

Papa 'Lonzo, you raised a good son. I don't always agree with him, but he strikes me as a good man. May you go where ever it is you wish to go.

Cary is a good man. He's an extremely honest man from the south, with a talent for words, stories and sharing his every day experience in the most unique way.
I have spoken with him on the phone many times and he's like no other person I've ever met, yet haven't met. ;)
I'll be calling him later on this evening to see what the situation is there with Daddy Tubbs.
In the meantime, I am holding thoughts of love and comfort, because he's there with Dad all alone in Florida.

Good thoughts and prayers coming your way Lonzo!

Daddy Tubbs passed away peacefully and happy a couple of days ago, surrounded by his family.
Just talked to Cary on the phone. He's doing very well and will be heading back to Atlanta on Sunday.
He inherited Dad's car- an '89 Oldsmobile with 130,000+ on the clock, and still gets 30 miles to the gallon. lol
Lem Foutes would approve of all. ;)

As is the way with Lonzo (Cary) and his temporarily banned buddy Nixon, they've both got these wonderful stories to tell from their past.
While Cary and I were on the phone, he took the time to tell me about hanging a storm door for some Jamaican neighbours- I do hope he shares it once he gets back on the forums, because it truly had me in stitches.
He's such a good man, very honest and real- big heart and soul.
A rare one, indeed. I suspect Dad was much the same. :D

My father, Leon Harrell nelson, passed away peacefully at about 7:30PM, Saturday evening. Dad's health had been failing for a long time and had it not been for the love and care of wonderful neighbors, he would not have been allowed to live at home alone. He is mourned by many but not by me or my sister. We know his wish has been for the last ten years to join his wife of over 55 years and his other son, Richard Keith Nelson. He's with them now and he's young , strong and handsome. Mother is not an invalid, she's not in pain and she's as beautiful as she was as a bride. He's with his God and he is happy. I'll miss him but can feel no pain of mourning .

In his last hours, life support removed with his approval, he openned his eyes and asked my sister, "What the Hell's taking so long?" He died two hours later.

Lord God, I didn't realise how badly I'd miss him. See you soon Dad.

Cary Nelson
