Just got an email from PG, and she says JoeC is going through some serious health issues right now, and is in the hospital. I'll refrain from letting out the details here without his permission, but suffice to say they are quite serious. In spite of Joe's differing political views, I, and many of you here, have liked JoeC for his other qualities. He is not a religious or spiritual man, but some good thoughts and prayers on his behalf sure couldn't hurt at this time.
 
If by chance JoeC happens to see this, I send prayers for your recovery. Maybe Doc could send him a heads up, and he could see this thread? Many of us differed in view from Joe, but I think most had resect for him regardless. I know I sure do. I wish he and PG were still active here. Miss them both...

Damn JoeC, this is sudden. I've tried hard but somehow I just don't feel that I've gotten you straightened out yet. Takes a little longer sometimes, especially with headstrong liberals... Get better bud and we'll give it another round or two...

Really not sudden as it has been an ongoing situation for about few years and started getting worse about 2 or so years now. I just choose to keep it to myself. This time around though it has become more serious. At any rate if it goes bad I will be having a sale of some guns. :smile:
 
Just hang in there Joe. Keep eating that hospital food and you won't want to eat your own cooking.:whistling:

Oh, the heresy! Say it isn't so! I thought you'd make them pry your quality collection of firearms from "your cold dead hands" if the worst came to pass. :wink:

On a serious note, I hope you come out on top and wish all the best for you. I get the feeling, from the little I know you, that you're an old dog who has been kicked before but has managed to get back up despite the circumstances. Again, all the best to ya Joe!
 
Thanks again guys and I was released at 5PM tonight. It turns out at the moment it is just the left lung with the rest clear. I will find out more such as stage, type and treatment on the 19th but till then in limbo. This is the same area I had 2 years ago that was in remission up till this episode occurred Saturday with me coughing up blood which I've never done before. I did stop smoking over a year ago so no telling.
