J5 tires

tracklover

Hi guys. Been doing alot of reading, not much posting.
I need a tube for my J5 and the tire is kind of ruff too. Inland tracked equipment wants $400 for a tire. Is this the going price now? Seems high to me. Let me know your thoughts.
Oh ya, Im located close to Oshawa on.
Thanks
Steve

thanks for the replies. I will try them tomorrow Pixie. I would think the shipping from Minnesota would be fairly expensive but I will give them a call.

It must be more than 6-7 years now, but I got a good price on tires from Bombardier which is now Prinoth ( I think). Not sure of the closest dealer to you or if their prices are still competitive.

Probably a lot cheaper to buy another J5 or Muskeg, and parts it out !! 12 tires, rims and bearings on a muskeg and a bunch of track parts to sell. I remember my boss freaking out years ago when when he bought a bunch of Bombardier ski-dozer steering band rivets,The dealer charged $1.50 per brass rivet,we could buy a whole box of 100 from a local jobber for $4.00. I cant believe what you guys are paying for tires now !!! Don

Minnesota outdoors is at 200.00 a tire for the old style smooth bombardier air tires
In 4.50x16 tubes extra

Shipping to Toronto runs about 70.00 per tire by UPS

Thanks everyone for your replies.I checked around, thanks boggie for posting .With the canadian dollar so low , it will cost me $60 in exchange then I don't know what duty would be. Prinoth is at $268.41 , Dion f4 is at $231 and Eastern Tracked is at $400. These last 3 are Canadian dollars. Attersley Tire (local) can get me tubes for$13 each.
Oh ya, Alpine guide's website said it wouldn't ship to my address.
Thanks again for everyones help.
