Yes you're gonna have some removing to do, cause you have to go in the differential compartment to get those brake.
Also you need to unscrew completly the adjusting nuts on the brake levers.
Once you're inside the box, the brake bands are held in place by a pin. Remove the pins and pull on the bands, they are pretty tight fit in there. When I've done mine, prior to their removal, I had flush the oil out, that worked out a lot better and it's easier for reinstalling them. Check the state of your drums, if they weren't damage by friction from the brake rivets. For redoing the linings breing them at a brake shop for trucks or machinery. If I remember correctly it cost me around $185 two years ago.
