It's BACK! Windows 10 Nag

Hi, just a couple days ago I was told that I had important updates then yesterday when I logged on I saw that the "GWX" nag was back. I spent hours yesterday evening and thought I had gotten rid of it. This evening I came on line and the stinking thing is BACK. Does anyone know an easy way to get rid of (not just hide) the stinking thing?

Don't know about the GWX nag .... but I'm ready to dump 10 and go back to Win 7. This puter came with 8 but I did not get the CD, so I had to buy a new version of 7 and when it gets here I plan to format and load win 7. I've had enough of the 10 big brother is here to help you crap. but that's just me.

Jeez I wish you fellas would give OS/X a shot. You just might be pleasantly surprised at how well it works and how much you might like it.

Just sayin'

Amen.

I went Apple a year ago and will never willingly use a Gates/Windows POS ever again.

It's really is an amazing machine. I have a mid 2010 21.5" imac which had a failing hard drive so I replaced the drive and added 4 Gig of RAM. $150 bucks doing the job myself.

A program called Internet Recovery downloads a fresh copy of OS/X 10.11.3 onto the new hard drive, I restore all files with Time Machine and wa-la I now have a almost 6 year old machine running the latest OS available.

What is there not to like? I have two other computers one running Windows and the other running Ubuntu, but my Mac is my favorite. Love it.

Every time the windows 10 upgrade window shows up I simply click on the little "X" in the top right corner. I can keep clickin' as long as they want to put it there. When they no longer support 7, then I'll look into a Mac machine.

I wouldn't mind an Apple but since I have a tablet a desktop & 2 laptop running various operating systems I don't think I can justify the expense.

I've had 0 issues with 10. 7 on the other hand was always rebooting on me almost daily so it could apply the 256 updates that came out. I find 10 fast a smooth with no problems on my system. I also just upgraded my ram to make things flow smoother.
As for Apple. Others might like it but it's not for me. I found that anytime I touched anything apple related I was being asked for a password and most of the time it involved resetting the thing in order for it to work. Maybe it was just the settings. I also didn't like the layout and found it confusing to navigate.

I might get to Apple OS eventually. I've tried it but never owned an apple laptop. I'm heavily invested into Windows software and enjoy Linux.
Does Apple support VM (virtual Machines)? I want to be able to run all OS's on one (without dual booting and having to reboot to switch OS's) desktop that I RDP to or on the laptop itself.

On 10 on my HP laptop at home. No problems, other than the touch pad is, well, touchy.

I figured sooner or later I'd have to go to WIN10 so I spent $800+ on a new laptop with WIN10 loaded. I think WIN10 a POS - I absolutely hate it. I'll continue to use my old laptop and almost new desktop with WIN7 Professional on them until I can't use it anymore - then I'm switching to Apple.

Who knows, by them maybe Amazon will come out with an operating system the way they're going.

You can always dual boot Ubuntu.
