It sucks being left-handed.

With the exception of 1% of guns and threads on propane tanks, why is it we can't get more things that are left-handed? :glare:

I was just in the kitchen making some brunch (corn beef hash, eggs & toast :chef::punk:) and couldn't help but to notice even the kitchen items are all right-handed.
The handle on the fry pan.
The spatula
The bread knife
EVEN THE FRIGGIN' TWIST TIES :4_11_9:

Don't even get me started on tools in the shop. :ermm: Hammers, screwdrivers, caulk guns...

Does it bother you other lefties? Have you adapted to using right-handed items?

I'm right handed, left eye dominant and a mess! I write, play pitch and catch, and golf right handed. Put a rifle, shotgun, or bow in my hand I'm left handed. Shoot a pistol right handed. All I can say is it's cost me a few more dollars to purchase long guns.

I'm ambidextrous!
Me too!! :thumb: (I'm equally bad with both hands! :yum: )

Like Dawg, I'm all messed up. I do some things left handed (golf & softball). But I write and eat right handed. I mouse with either my right or left hand. The onset of carpal tunnel in my right arm made me switch to mouse with my left. Now if one starts hurting from to much 'mouse'ing' I then switch to the other.

It's the left handed pipe wrench that will really get ya BC.

Wow, I guess being a lefty means you've got to be messed up. I'm messed up as well.

I throw a frisbee left handed but a baseball right handed. (And why don't they make left hand versions of these pieces of sporting equipment?) Tennis is left-handed, golf is right handed.

Pistols and remote controls are with either hand. Rifles are left hand but I shoot right-handed guns.

That applies to me as well. And I am too cheap and lazy to have special guns and tools so I learned to use either hand for most tasks. Between my hospital stays and shoulder surgery and other injuries over the years I learned to do certain necessary things with either hand. I am a lefty but do most anything with either hand just as well. Been alternating swinging the big hammer for the past few days. It also works out great on ladders so you only move half as much.

I just cringe thinking of the mangling my right hand would take using a hammer left handed .................

I use both hands for different things also. I write right handed but can and will my left hand sometimes. I eat mostly with my left hand most everything else right handed. My son is even worse than me.

My wife is left handed so buying her a gun was a bit of a problem. I did teach her to play golf right handed as if you have never played it makes little difference really. She actually got pretty good. She does have fits though with some things around the house such as scissors but kitchen isn't a problem as everything I own can be done with either hand.

hmmmmm, my kinda girl........
I am a lefty from birth (used to suck my left thumb until I was 4)
Learned to write left handed (the nuns didn't like it and tried to make me use my right hand 'til my Mom stepped in.. you didn't mess with my Mother!)
I think the fact that I can do most things equally well with both hands is because of being able to play the piano very well for years.
Or not..
But that's my theory.

There is good news. Since all functions of the right hand are controlled by the left side of the brain,,,,and all right brains control the left hands,,,Lefty's can take confidence in knowing they are of the right mind:clap:

Which explains my problems. I am definitely right handed.

I hated them too.
Ms. Byrd.
She smelt of moth balls, ancient lady, bless her heart.
Had a house full of cats.
She hated it because I could play by ear, and she was trying to teach me what already came naturally!
