Is this LMC 3700 CFS a good buy?

All. New to this forum. Looking at picking up a used LMC 3700 CFS. The seller is an equipment dealer and is finding out the year of manufacture, but believes it is mid to late 90's. CAT 3208 turbo diesel. Hour meter reads 38xx.xx [cant remember exactly]. Comes with 42" tracks, plow up front, and groomer/tiller on the rear. Besides some broken lights, the machine looks good and runs like a top. Drove it around in their yard today for about 15 mins. What should I look for? Should I be nervous about the number of hours on the hydraulic systems of the machine [I am not worried about the hours on the 3208]? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That model was never a big seller to the ski areas and was made toward the end of LMCs life. Parts are going to be more difficult to find but Peterson's equipment in Utah is going to be a good source for parts and information in general. Those are low hours for an Alpine Cat but that may also be an indicator that it had problems or didn't work as well as the other brands. if you can get it for $10,000 it might be worth considering but any more than that I would be looking at a Bombardier or Pisten Bully.

Pump pressures are going to be the best indicator of the health of the hydraulics and the condition of the hoses will be important as those can get expensive.
