iPod docking station/stereo - Bose SoundDock?

Mrs. Zoom wants my daughter to get those headphones off her ears.

Looking for a good docking station setup for sound. If I'm going to have to hear my teenage daughter's music, at least it better sound decent. Clock and alarm are optional, I think.

We have a couple mediocre at best ones (Sharper Image?) but would like to get something a bit nicer.

Mrs. Zoom said she heard the Bose SoundDock at a store the other day and it sounded pretty good. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Thoughts, alternatives or recommendations?

If you're thinking about something for her room maybe you should also consider a Bose Wave Radio also. We've owed one, though not an IPod model for at least ten years. We keep it in our bedroom for music and it's also hooked up to the TV for sound. It sounds great in environments the size of bedrooms, but I'll also warn you'll find it's really lacking enough ass to fill a big space with quality sound.

Dragonfly Lady got me a Bose SoundDock several years ago. Great sound at any volume, and you can crank it up
far enough to fill a concert hall ... if you have one handy!!
