Installing windows 8

I messed up 1 or my laptops and completely deleted Win 7.
I can get Ubuntu to run on it. Has anyone here installed the full (not the upgrade) of Win 8? I was thinking of installing it.
 
If you have it why not give it a shot. Not much to lose since you are starting from scratch. I have never installed it or used it from upgrade, but I do enjoy trying the new OS's once the beta testing is over. IOW, after it's been out a couple of months.
 
I finally have it working (lost everything) A friend of mine is pretty techie, I will have to ask him what he thinks about Win 8. From what I've read i don't think I would like it.
 
Can't you reinstall Win 7 that came with it? Don't you have the CD for it?
