IMP parking brake/driveline brake

Hey gang, I’m looking for any intel on either a driveline disc brake or other style of parking brake for a 1404. Mine runs a T-96 trans up front. Can it be as simple as changing rear output yoke to a companion flange, then bolting on a mechanical disc assembly??
Pictures would be great, and part numbers too if anyone else has ventured down the rabbit hole.

Thanks! Winter is upon us here in central Idaho..

I'm listening for input. I don't expect I'll need a brake, but when one needs one....then you need one. WTF, just another excuse to throw cash at my machine.

Tried yesterday to get up to my cabin but the county hadn't yet plowed the 3 miles of 18 inches + drifts that has fallen recently. Can't 4x4 in that much heavy snow to the last 1/4 mile that I can snowshoe up.
Breaking news: this morning I was informed that the county finally came through. I'm outa here tomorrow, expecting 2+ feet burying my Imp. What's a person to do...?

My parking brake is on the transmission. I hate it, as it collects moisture. When its set, it freezes. Laugh all you want. I still do.

If i was starting from scratch i would copy the thiokol 1450 imp, drum style.

I assume that it just pulls both brake arms mechanically and holds them under tension. I can see where that might be problematic with external ice building up on the linkage.

Any chance you’d have any part numbers for the companion flange, rotor, and caliper? Pictures would be very helpful too. Thanks in advance

I do have a manual for that imp so i may have some part numbers from 75'

I have a set of inventory/parts cards from a thiokol dealer in stevenspoint wisconsin that go to 1996.

Certainly can post photos.

Remebering to compile all of this is the problem. Im like rust, i never quit. Im just slow

Redsqrl, your knowledge would be greatly appreciated, as well as pictures and any p/n’s you may find..,,,
No rush here, the speed of rust formation is just fine!

Thank you in advance
