I'm Back ...

Danang Sailor

Been gone all week; had a TKR (Total Knee Replacement) on Monday and no computer access until now. Still stuck using the 'Pad but at least I can read you guys again. I'll be back to the computer next week ... I know it isn't fair to leave all of you without my Pearls of Wizdum for too long (:puking:)

I'm having the other knee done mid December, so you'll have to do without me for a few days then, too. Unless Franc can cast some pearls before you while I'm gone?? :w00t2::yum::yum::yum::yum:

DS, I've been trying to figure out who came up w/ the phrase" The joys of growing old".
A friend has the best description I've heard, "What don't hurt, don't work". I think there's still quite a bit of me that works 'cause a have quite a few hurts,LOL!!

Six months of therapy and recovery discomfort. You have my sympathy.

I know very few people with successful knee replacement. But, I suppose it's better than constant pain and lack of function. Good luck with it.
As Squerly pointed out, there are worse malfunctions in the human anatomy.

I would send flowers but all the dandelions are gone for the season.:flowers:

Glad to hear you're okay DS. Knee replacement would be no fun at all, but better than the pain I'd guess. I saw a doc last month about knee pain. He's offering cortisone shot for relief. I don't know what to expect from the shot, if it will really help or not.

Good luck with your recovery and operation number two in Dec.
