I'd rather use an 8 pound maul and wedges

Than use this thing ! Notice while the man is singing the praises of this splitter , He's out of breath ! I'd love to see him tackle some Gum , Sycamore , or Elm with that thing . :yum::yum::yum:

That had to be a parody:yum::yum::yum:
Them chunks of wood would almost split them selves after a spitting maul was raised over them.

Oh.. I have one more thing to add: The time it takes to swing the splitting maul is 1 second. The time to yank that lever back and forth - minutes.
The guy hasn't a clue. He should probably take a shower, and get out once and a while. Then he would sing the praises of this:

Here's some more of His great advice . I wonder how many folks actually followed this guy's advice .

That little 305 cat would never touch the stumps around here. A 200 series struggled when they were doing the gas line across my farm. Only a fool cuts the tree first. It is a hell of a lot easier to dig around the tree and use the leverage and weight of the tree to pop them out of the ground. I just dropped some 60 foot ash this past week with my 580K backhoe.

Guys.. why make a hole in the ground by taking out the stump? Leave it the hell in the ground.

Well if you are going to plow and plant pasture you need the stumps out. Plus the price of those things even to rent is crazy. They don't like rocks either.
