I want to introduce ya'll to "KELBY"

Proudly Deplorable
Kelby is our new IA hydroponic garden center, from Gardyn Co.
Crumpy bought this for herself as a Christmas present. She always wanted one. Me, an avid Organic farmer of old ways, ya know Tradition, did not want the Fa kaka thing in the house. But, what do you do for love?

Whatever it takes.

A completely self l contained unit that calls the wife to chat about how things are going in the garden. Not a text but a real voice.

Today's report is that everything is operating withing normal parameters. Water is running, grow light is on.
The grow light is my new wake-up alarm system. It is so bright, it can be seen from space.

Right now, it is in the Solarium. A fancy name for our glassed-in back porch. Right off the Master bedroom.

This thing even has cameras so we can view conditions on an I-phone as we travel.

A long way from grandma's Organic garden behind the chicken house.

It has some growth activity. Crumpy promised pictures, perhaps this weekend.
It is a high-tech and advanced piece of equipment that offers a lot of features and capabilities. It is self-contained and can communicate with its owner through a real-voice call. The grow light is also serving as a wake-up alarm system, and the cameras allow for remote monitoring of the garden's conditions. Overall, it seems like a big change from traditional organic gardening methods, but the love and support for Crumpy is worth the adjustment.
Support and love? I trust Crumpy to run my companies and my life. I will tease her often but thoroughly support her endeavors and hobbies. We are sympatico but very different people. She builds her own computers. She has several I-phones, tablets, and a laptop. I have a flip phone with a hole in the side for a hand crank.

For weather she goes to the internet, I stick a wet finger out the window.
