I want this dog!

Yes, indeed. I've had a couple Jacks, and they are a great little dog. Smart, friendly, curious, quick as the dickens, love the water. Don't shed a whole lot, either, and somehow seem to be self-cleaning.

But they are active little shits and need a willing, active master ... and space to run free. No prissy lap dog by any measure. Great growing up with the kids or grandkids.
 
I owned one for 18 years before he passed. Mine was the short hair version but other than the box look face the same dogs. He sure was active not a fence or system made that he couldn't escape from if he wanted too.
