Gone But Not Forgotten
to my partner in business of 23 years. While it just seems like yesterday we both got pretty choked up. We became partners back in 1988 after the Companies then banking institution outright reneged on a large business expansion. Some creative changes to financing and allowing two people Larry being one of the two to invest in the company we pulled through the mess. The other person was bought out approximately 5 years later. Larry and I remained together until today his last day. We had a larger party with all of our contractors about two weeks ago but today it really hit home and he is entering a new step in life. He walked out the door ten minutes ago and our good bye to each other contained a lot of tears believe me. I think I might just leave myself for the day.

He's retiring?

I hope y'all get to visit each other casually and keep in touch.
 
Heck that is longer than a lot of marriages last. Hope it was all on good terms and you both enjoy your fresh start.:flowers:

Yes I guess I failed to mention that and you are right I hope we do keep in touch much.

In the 23 years we had one argument. Is was a simple one and one that put us back in check.
 
So, you're runnin' the show now?

How many times do you think you'll turn and say; "Hey, Larry, what do you think about.....?" It'll be sorta automatic for a while.

Even though I was the majority stockholder all these years we made decisions together. Being on the same wave with the same goals made decisions easy.

Doc, Larry is a more avid boater than I am. He has a 21ft run about and and a 35 foot Gibson and he literally lives on it in the summer and will be staying on it more now.
 
Well congrats on having that long of a run with someone backing you up! Hard to find nowdays!

Sooooo, you going to help him find fish then?
