I am looking for a tracked vehicle

There is a separate tracked 4x4 section you might want to check out.

Honestly we need to know more about your exact needs>

-Do you need to drive through 4ft of fresh snowfall, or is that simply to total snowfall at your cabin? (Big difference)
-How many people/gear do you need to haul?
-What's the gradient like to your cabin?
-What truck do you have to haul your snow rig?

Some initial thoughts, if all you need is cabin access for 1-2 people and some gear, a UTV with snow tracks or a Samurai with Tracks is easily your best option assuming the trail your cabin is semi regularly run by people or groomed. Especially if you already own a UTV why not just buy a set of Camso tracks for $3k used and you're good to go?

Trail condition is the huge factor here however, if you really need go through 4' of pure powder especially up a steeper grade, than only a wide tracked cat can do that effectively, something like a Thiokol IMP or DMC 1450, or a ST4 with wide tracks will drive through powder all day long, and are easy to haul even with a 1/2ton truck. If snow conditions are generally really packed or if you have sled traffic to and from the area next to your property than a UTV tracked 4x4 is probably all you need.

ST4s in particular can still be found in Alaska, there also seem to be a fair amount of military Weasels for sale there as well, they're not necessarily the best in lots of powder, but if you need a rock solid platform to do all sorts of work and haul gear they're great.

I need a vehicle to drive 30km on forest service roads to get to the cabin and back in up to 4 ft snow falls. Preferable in western Canada
Thanks
Mike
This will b used on about 18 km of groomed trail, very steep forest service road. Then 15 km of unused forest service road. Snow fall can b 2 inches too 4 feet as you go from 1100 feet above sea level over the mountains at 5000 feet above sea level. Mostly for food supplies and people.

What type of snow? powder, wet heavy ?? snow conditions make a big difference.

That DMC1200 is in very good condition. I called the contact on the auction site. She was very knowledgeable and said it had been well maintained. Tracks look very good. That rig will weigh in the mid 7,000 lbs and is the 8 foot wide tracks. Blade appears MIA though.

A Super Imp 1450 machine is a good machine, but I did run into about 10' of flat powder where it wouldn't go last winter. It surprised me, I barely got back out of there.

If solo or two people then Bombi is perfect for deep snow, this is my first season and it impressed me .
What motor? Whats fuel milage like?
Was thinking of an old truck sleeper on back?
Thank you for any info. New to this and will b buying in june.

Its 1.6L ford 4 cyl industrial, 12 gallon tank, max speed 20 mph , 4 gears. Does not have space for sleeper truck type, but if u make a frame u can mount roof tent. For a sleeper you need bigger machine something like Prinoth Trooper/Patrol, LMC 1800, PB Canyon , Thiokol 1202 mid size machine . I had these Bombi, Prinoth Patrol and Argo Centaur, kept only Bombi. Lightweight, easy to go remote places and small trails. With battery powered air diesel heater any ice fishing tent is perfect for camping overnight on a cod.

We drove past that machine a week ago or so on out way to Adventure Mountain. Maybe we should have stopped and taken its picture?

Our buddy is part of the Adventure Mountain volunteer group so we were there to visit him and see the hill. We had skied at Courtney Lake that day.
