Hydraulic Cylinder - where to find a 1-3/8" yoke?

Hey there,

I'm building a lift frame for over-the-snow logging with my Skidozer HD302 using the rear hydraulics on the machine. The cylinder I have was given to me by a friend so I want to use it to save some expense.

Here's where I'm running into trouble. The external cylinder end is a 1-3/8" OD threaded rod. I'd like to attach a yoke to this side, but I can't find anything that fits. Checked McMaster and several on-line suppliers.

I'm almost starting to wonder if I'm supposed to attach it in a different fashion given the difficulty of finding a yoke.

Anybody know where I could find such an attachment?

Thanks!

Is the threaded end on the rod or the base of the cylinder? I guess it doesn't matter if you can't find the part. I looked for a 1-3/8" clevis and found only 1-1/4" and 1-1/2".

What I would do is get yourself a good quality steel 1-3/8" nut and weld on either a clevis you fabricate yourself (out of at least 3/8" mild steel), or get a formed clevis as shown here:

Good Luck!

P.S. At bottom is a pic showing some clevises (clevisae?) I welded up to carry the 2500 lb. blower head for the unimog. They're made using just 3/8" mild steel and are holding up just fine.
