How much...

Galvatron

Spock and Galvatron < one and the same
does it cost for a cut Christmas Tree where you are???

Currency converted it's $55(£35 English smacker roonies :yum:)where i am...that's for a real nice looking Nordman Fir that's 6ft tall.

They run from around 65 to 85 for a nice cut 6 foot scotch pine . Around this area the austrian pines were hit really hard by desease this year so prices are higher then normal due to the shortage .

If you wait until Christmas Eve around 3:00pm you can get them pretty cheap. In fact the place I went to had to attendants anymore and I could take what I wanted No Charge. :hide:

Hey don't jump on me I was on the understanding that since we would be out of town most of the time during the holiday's they didn't want a tree. :glare:

$20 for a nice pruned thick and bushy Douglas Fir. Or free if I want to cut down one of the hundred or so in my yard - but they aren't as nice as the manicured ones.

for me it will be what ever i'm going to pay for gas to drive to councel to get a black spruce this year not spending a but load of money on a tree that aint got needles on it by christmas may even recoupe som expences by bringing a bunch of trees back bet i can fit 15 0r i6 trees in the st trailer shrink wrap them up to survivee the trip.

Bought my fake tree in 1998 and it's still as perfect as the first season. Paid $155 back then on the day after Christmas for a $250 tree. It gets cheaper each year when you amortize them, and there is no worry of fire with a real tree in the house.

Well ..... Lets see here ... I got about 60 acres of trees . anywhere from a foot to 50 feet tall . I can let you have one for free ,,,,, today only .....FOB ....Elk City Idaho . Bears in the tree are extra .

Abt $.30 for the chainsaw gas. abt $2.00 to tote home. Endless fun trying to get that damn bird out of the house.

$10-20 if I want to buy one, free if I want to cut one down myself - or I can keep using the "black friday special" fake tree I got the wife 2 years ago when we moved into the new house.

Had the same artificial tree for over 15 years. I could go outside and whack one down but I hate those darned needles. No, I'll stick with ol' faithful. I wonder how that new dog is going to handle having a Christmas tree in her play area. Oh Lord, maybe we won't put one up this year. :yum:

Thanks for the replies....

As for the artificial type i tried that one year....within a hour of putting it up i slung it out the garden...i have got so used to the real tree look but most importantly it's that fresh pine smell i was missing.

I said in another thread that i would not be getting a tree until 2 weeks before Christmas but my 8 year old Daughter done me other with the "please Daddy" and her loving eye's....it went through my mind that they grow up so fast so i could not say no.

I need to toughen up to my kids:hammer:(NOT)

Well take your wallet out and satisfy the child! Live trees are fun but a pain as they always dry out. Water it regular and get rid of it the day after Christmas.

Already done it m8....sitting in it's stand with water....give it a few day's to dress then we will dress it...i on the other hand may not get dressed:yum::yum::yum:

I have my wife hold a flashlight in both hands, flail her arms up and down ans spin around real fast, While wearing green, and it sorta looks like a Christmas tree if you have enough Tequila in ya.....
