My wife is the president of our local Kinettes club and I am president of the Kinsmen club. We do allot of fundraising throughout the year to give back to the community.

We are thinking of doing some sort of fund raiser/food drive for the Haiti releif that's going on.

What we need are some ideas on how to do this quickly with very little cost. All proceeds after any expenses will be donated to the victims of the earthquake. Any ideas/suggestions would greatly be appreciated. We live in a smaller town of 2400people. We'd like to do something locally to help out.

A chili cookoff comes to mind as a good fundraiser. They are doing one locally this weekend. If you can throw in some beer it usually helps loosen the wallets a little. The local one will have folks from 3-4 surrounding towns participating and should be pretty successful. Get a local bakery to kick in some rolls etc.

Get the locals(including school kids) involved doing paintings or sketches of you local area....then Auction them off at the cook off.

No expense in creating your own pieces of artwork.

Good Luck i hope you raise plenty.:thumb:
