Gone But Not Forgotten
I set fires to my fence lines and any areas where I want to burn the "long grass" down before Summer , on my ranch . It helps control fire hazards .

Why is it , that within 7 days the new grass is soooo lush and green where it burned ???

This is crazy , I plant new grass and it takes a month to start growing ?

When you burn off the top dead stuff it stimulates the roots from the heat and "wakes" the plant up.

Well Hell ! Based on that theory, I should torch the pubic hair off !!!:w00t2:
i wanna watch. Have someone make a video so we can all watch it.:yum::yum: BTW, Brazilian wax jobs are the rage today, and jungle bush between your legs is so gauche.

Actualy you fertilize the grass when you do that. It is like putting lime on it as the ashes sweeten the soil. The potash envigorates the roots.

Secondly all that is now visible is brand new growth, from established old root systems. So you have none of the stressed, aged, older growth, which would have a darker dog eared look to the color pallet. Everything you would see is fresh new green.

When you plant seeds, most of the new growth is in the root system so, it takes longer to grow and mature on top.
