I never could understand or have the patience to restore stuff. I don't care whether it is a car, bike, table, house whatever. I just don't have the patience. Kudo's to those that do.

I replaced the fire place, the ceilings were all bowed and I have replaced the ceiling joists and put new ceilings in, have painted walls and ceilings and made the lead light windows. Renovated second hand front doors (screen and solid) and ripped up the old carpets. I have just had a guy in to polish the floors for me while I was away in Western Australia.

Murph, you would be amazed at many of Vin's completed projects. The man is an artist!

Beautiful, simply beautiful! A work of art, and devotion!

nice work - didn't know leaded glass was part of your skill set.
You're a regular renaissance man, Vin!
are the floors cypress?
good job on the house!

The house was built in the 1920s, the floor boards are commonly refered to as Baltic pine, I guess it was imported from Europe, the floor joists are Jarrah, from southern Western Australia, all other timber, architraves, doors and roof trusses are referred to as Oregon, (Douglas Fir).

Thanks everyone for your compliments, my head is swelling, but Mary is good at bringing me back to earth.

Nice work, Vin. Especially on that leaded glass. Pieces that big are tough to keep together before they're installed.
