First outing in the cat today in our local parade. It was a huge hit and so much fun. Next time we will look for a bit more snow.
Let me try those pictures again...

love the pics ! that was a great outfit for a tucker .you should send it to the Tucker factory for the calendar .

It’s that time of year again. I’ve brought something to this parade for at least the last 10 years in a row. Brought the Snow Trac twice, a 46 Studebaker truck a few times, a 62 4x4 international pick up a couple times, a VW bus one year and the Tucker last year.
It’s a short and sweet parade about 6 blocks long through down town Hood River this Friday followed by the tree lighting ceremony. It’s a perfect venue for a rubber block tracked super kitten.
Looks like we’ll have crisp, cold but clear weather for it.
Just throwing this out there in case anyone has the fever like I do...

Well I can’t help myself when it comes to the local Christmas parade. It’s 6 blocks of small town stoke. This marks our 10th year of doing it, 4th year in a cat (2 years in the snow trac and 2 in the Tucker.) This year there was even a model T snow cat from WAAAM they brought down.
It was so much fun and certainly the only time you can get away with driving the sno cat downtown. I drop the Tucker off at the starting point and then have the trailer ready at the other end of the parade. I know I’m bias but I think we had the best float there. Lol!
Winter is here folks and I’m ready to have some fun with my fellow catters.

Is running steel track Tuckers on pavement hard on the tracks?......Bob

I did suggest bringing the Super kitten in an earlier post. The crowd would have gone nuts! I'll remind the mafia again next year. Maybe we can follow it up with a Saturday outing if we have snow.

Well I know it's not good for it so I keep it short and slow. We are crawling along in 1st gear. I would not do it if my tracks still had the slightly angled grouser like they came new, but mine are worn flat so I think damage at this point is very minimal.
I guess I figure once a year for 6 blocks is worth the risk.

Actually we had a great time with the snow trac the year we wrangled up a herd of lighted reindeer to lead the way.
They make great parade vehicles.

very very sorry I missed this post and invitation to come along, would have loved to come. sorry

Well with the slow start of our winter and due to popular demand, it looks like our first outing this year may be in our local Christmas parade.
December 6th if anyone cares to join us. Line up starts at 5pm and think the parade will start maybe 6 or 6:30. It's a straight 6 block run down the middle of town.
Time to transform the Tucker back in to Rudolf. And if I can find the right outfit, I think I'll have Big foot drive this year....
