I need help identifying this carb. It has no tags. I need to get a rebuild kit but also need help with where the hoses all go —specifically the one marked in the picture. It’s a 1983 DMC 1450 with the Ford 3.3L. Any help including pictures is most appreciated.

The carb manual calls it the vent tube, and on my Spryte (170 CID) there is no hose attached to it. If I recall correctly, the vent allows the fuel in the top of the carb bowl to be at atomospheric pressure.

In an automobile with 1980s emissions equipment, there would be a hose from that nipple to a charcoal canister. There would be another hose from that canister to the air cleaner. The idea being that the fuel vapors from the top of the fuel bowl would condense in the canister and be drawn through the air intake to be burned in the combustion chamber. No raw fuel vapors vented to the atmosphere...

Off road equipment is exempt generally speaking.

I route my breather towards the housing and let physics take it from there.
