well, I uh, I'm new here obviously... looks like you have a large user base, and I'm sure some of us won't see eye to eye. I'm not afraid to speak my mind about anything, and find censorship is the tool of a scared individual with no other option than to scream fool heartedly "Shut-up! because if i don't hear or see it, it doesn't exist!" I'm not afraid to have fun, or to stand up for my point of view. I'm also not afraid to stand up for your point of view even if i don't agree with it. um, i live in a little place in Michigan. I'm what you' call a troll Because i live under the bridge. (in the LP)

OK!!!! So I see you got attitude

We got some attitudes around here.:whistling:
What else ya got?
What'ya like ta do?
What'ya do for a living?

I like to play video games, build networks/secure them. I'm a full time student going for my bachelors i think. I like debating, but doing it on the internet is pointless because no matter how little someone knows if they are smart enough to open a search engine all arguments become null and void lol. But i do like a well researched comeback lol.
We just legalized medical marijuana here I'm pretty excited about that. The only thing that helps with these migraines i get (I've had one for 4 day now...) I had an imitrex shot on day one, it dulled it down, but it's still fighting it's way around my head lol.

::EDIT:: there might be a good reason for smelling smoke lol ::EDIT::

Welcome to the Forums.

As for censorship, you won't find a lot of it here, but we do it when people directly insult other members. Beyond that, be civil and you can defend any position you want.

Regarding the headaches, I was on "beta blockers" for several years, went to the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago for treatment, my local doctors followed up with them on a consulting basis. The "beta blockers" really helped. You take them daily and they actually prevented 98+% of my headaches.

BTW, I'll stick to cigars. Never once smoked pot. Don't have a desire. Then again, I don't have any desire to outlaw it either. In fact I've advocated legalizing and commercializing its distribution and sale.

See thats all cool with me, i know people that would flip out and go on a whole lecture about it, I say if someone doesn't want to do something, then why bother trying to convince them, they are never going to want to no matter how hard you try. lol
Hell i'd snort dirt if it kept these headaches away lol. (although I've never snorted anything... my brother did that and got a pill stuck in his forehead and his head got all mushy and green...)

Welcome to Forums Forums Eggshell_vendeta. Your sig made me laugh. That is a new one on me. :yum:
I think that legalizing MJ is about the only chance we have of ever seeing a balanced budget again ...and I'm not sure that would work, but it's better than putting people in jail for using it.
So you are from Michigan!? We just played a little school from Ann Arbor ....Is that where you are in school? If so that stadium Rocks!!!!!

I'm a hippy from waaaaay back.....
but had to get on with life and out grew it .
My oldest son has the same problem you do. I wish it was legal too.:ermm:

I don't know what it feels like to be a woman in this day and age...
OTOH, I do know what it's like to feel a woman in this day and age... :punk:

I suffer of Cluster Headache (and if you know anything about headaches you know about these) and the most effective thing that I did to help was quit smoking (legal cigarettes - I haven't done weed since I was a very young kid, I need my job). I quit cold 18 years ago.

Take that advise for what its worth. Headaches are vascular and the drugs in smoke (legal or otherwise) interfere with the neurological control of vascular dilation, therefore causing headaches.

When I go into cluster, 3-6 shots of Imitrex a day is not uncommon. Doses of Prednisone (steroid) up to 120 mg per day is where I start, verapamyl starting at 180mg twice per day for a calcium channel blocker.

Some of the people that I communicate with that also suffer from these headaches thought that M-J was a solution. Most found that the one positive had 20 negatives that only made the situation worse.

I've never had a problem smoking weed, except when seeds were in it (that stuff is nasty anyway lol) other wise it's always helped to get rid of them.
I think i wanna talk to my doctor about those beta blockers though...

Realize they are a preventative not a pain killer. You must take them daily and they will stop the headache from starting. Also realize that most headache sufferers tend to get them in waves, sometimes a wave crest can last for several years then all of a sudden you are headache free, again for up to a couple years before they return. Also, especially for guys, headaches often go away. Mine went away when I was in my early 30's and have not come back. Not to say I don't get the occasional headache, I do. But I don't get the constant recurring headaches that knock me out for 2 and 3 days at a time where I have to lay in a dark quiet room. I get maybe 1 to 3 bad headaches a year now and have not used the Beta Blocker type drugs for 20 years.

well, I do a lot of computer work, my optometrist thinks that may be what causes my headaches because there is a scratch on my left lens, he says the extra strain caused by sitting in front of a computer along with the scratch may be whats causing my headaches. I'd have to say that 90% of the time, he's right about that. But i do get them randomly sometimes. I really wouldn't mind a preventative measure for my migraines, it's the one thing i can't stand at all, any other aches and pains i can deal with no matter how bad they are, but headaches are the deal breaker. My migraines are crippling, i'd do anything i could to prevent/relieve them.

This may seem crazy but have you had your eyes checked? Maybe prescription or even just tinted glasses may help when in front of the monitor.

Keep a food log. When you get a migrane, look back on what you ate over the last couple days.

I got migranes a lot and now only occassionally after reducing the amount of caffine I consume each day, and citing other foods in my diet to trigger them: Red wine, hot wings plus other foods with hot sauce, and chinese food.

I use the Imitrex spray and have good results when the migranes to pop up.

Yeah he gave me some reading glasses, but they make the headaches worse and more frequent. I've been thinking about talking to him about tinted glasses.

I gave the only spray we had to a friend, he had a headache for 6 weeks... (turns out he had brain damage) i love imitrex though quick soothing relief. The shot worked way faster than Marijuana, but thats obvious, intravenous vs. inhalant. (still technically goes in your blood stream, just takes a little longer to do anything lol)

caffeine does play a role in my headaches, but thats usually only caffeine withdrawals (nasty little drug that one)

especially look for nitrates, msg, & possibly mild celiac disease or other food allergy as possible triggers.

I heard?
Pot will give you brain tumors.
Don’t know about headaches?

legalizing it would keep the jails freed up (large amount of taxpayer money freed up) there would be less violent crimes related to drugs (also costs taxpayer money) and if you sold it in store regulated it, and taxed it, there is no way you could keep it on the shelf with over 70% of the U.S. regular smokers of Marijuana... I dare ya to try to keep a steady supply.
Also if it was legalized, we could stop cutting trees down, and make paper from it as well as hundreds of products from hemp. 1 square acre of hemp = the same paper amount as 10 square acres of trees.
No i don't live in ann arbor, but i've been there once. I live in a small town near lake Michigan

Sorry but you heard very wrong, please read this, as it's probably as amazing to you as it was to me when i found out the truth. http://www.alternet.org/story/9257

I'll go ahead and give you a heads up on debating here and quoting things. Make sure you have your facts straight before you hit the submit button. People will call you on it here. There is a big difference between 70% who are regular users and 70% trying. I would venture to guess that 70% just trying it would be high.
