hi everybody. I have been reading many of your posts sounds like a great group of people. I'm sure glad i found this site because i think i can be of help and i my self will be needing help from time to time. I am in the early stages of restoring a THIOKOL 601 which i have had setting in my barn for about 15 years so i hope there are some of the older thikol sno-cat fans out there. So if any body wants to know more about it just ask i love to talk about it i know most of its history all the way back to when it was born.
if you would like to see pics. just say the word and i will be more than happy to. BUT some body will have to very patiently tell me how i have no idea.

Welcome wby; :applause: I think you'll enjoy this forum. It has a little of everything to read and put in your "in put" Just beware of some.. They may get to you..:hide:

Welcome !
I almost purchased a 601 as my first snowcat . Man those things are big and roomy , Lots of room for picking up broke down Snow Trac owners .:yum: Enjoy the group . There are a lot of good men and women here but most of us don't care and are here anyway . Have fun ,
Allen

Welcome aboard, the fun (insane at times) forums. Just jump in and start posting whats on your mind. Pretty soon you will join the rest of the mindless other people here. It is a great diverse group who will always jump in to help or poke you gently in the eye.

The best way to post pictures for me has been to upload my photos to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket or Webshots. If you have never used a host for photos just do an internet search and they will pop up. Then you can just use the insert image tool in the above tool bar to post the pic on the forum. Hope this helps. The forum also has a photo gallery where you can post and save pics also.

Yes, we want to see pics and detail posts of your fun with the 601. Many of us snow cat people are addicted or just spend too much time with either talking or working on our snow cats....:weneedpic

Welcome Weatherby! Glad you found our forums and joined up.
Your post asking about how to post pics prompted me to do something I should have done a long time ago. I made the 'how to post pics' thread a sticky in the FF General Info and Problems forum.
Here is a direct link to that thread:

I look forward to seeing pics of your restoration project. We all like that kind of stuff.
Enjoy and post often!!!! :thumb:

If you still have problems, you can contact any of the moderators and they can help you. Sometimes it takes a bit of practice, but if you have real problems then email the photos to a moderator and they can put the photos into your post.

The moderators are:
  • bczoom
  • Big Dog
  • Bonehead
  • B_Skurka
  • Junkman
  • PBinWA

I'm not sure how many of you ever look at our intro page at:
www.forumsforums.com

I modified it a couple of weeks ago and added all the mods on the right hand side of the page. So if anyone is wondering who the mods are, just go to the front page and you'll see all the ID's.
