Heads up about Flash update.

Installed the latest update on the wife's laptop this morning and when you decline to make IE your default browser it installs google and chrome and changes all your Firefox icons to google. Wasted a Damn hour plus getting rid of it all and changing the icons back. Never gave a choice at all. Wish there was a flashplayer that did not have BS with it and problems and security flaws like Oracle does. This was a straight download from Oracles site too.

I did have it, but then disabled it as a plug-in.

Found another headache since this came in. Now she can't open links in emails. I have been looking all over and can't find the problem. I am sure it is a setting in Thunderbird or internet options but have not seen anything yet.

Does firefox still work? Since the install messed with your default browser you might need to reestablish firefox or whatever as a default browser for her email links to work.

That is exactly what I just got done doing. Now it works. Screw Google and their takeover your computer tactics. I don't think much of Oracle for not allowing you to opt out of crap they attach to their player. Did I mention Win7 is just harder to find things.

You'll get used to win7 and like it. I know i did.
I disabled java, and will never again to a java update.
I have found nothing I need it for Everything works just fine without it, thank goodness.
