Hay fields are growing !!!!!!!!

BigAl

Gone But Not Forgotten
Holy crap ! I bet its grown a foot in the past week .It will easily be 6 feet tall by the time I cut it ! We are getting rain almost every day . Fields are so wet I cannot even began to do a little tractor work I was hoping to do . I have one culvert I need to clean silt from and cannot even get close to it !!! This is going to get interesting as we always have Thunder storms in Sept and I seriously doubt the fields will dry out enough to even support haying equipment by them . Hay Producers in the area are already saying $170 a ton for straight grass hay this year !!!!!!

My total crop is already sold ......if I can get it out of the field !

I gave some grass hay to a rancher last year to try on his horses and he likes it so much he refuses to buy from anyone else in his area .

My total crop is headed for California ???!!!!!!

That is as crazy as the hay guys around here hauling it to Long Island and Conn. Folks pay for good hay so they can afford to haul it.
