Starting 1 thread for the 1st interview of Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Please post all things regarding that interview in this thread.

Early release from CNN shows that she still holds all her radical beliefs, and Tim Walz looks like a neutered puppy next to her. But we will certainly see more releases.

Harris on Policy Flips: ‘My Values Have Not Changed’, We Implemented Values Behind Green New Deal

During a portion of an interview with CNN that took place on Thursday that was aired on Thursday’s broadcast of “The Lead,” 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris responded to a question on her policy changes by saying that her “values have not changed.” She also stated that the Inflation Reduction Act is an implementation of the values of the Green New Deal.
CNN host and Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash asked, “Generally speaking, how should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made — that you’ve explained some of here — in your policy, is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information, is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?”
Harris answered, “Dana, I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed. You’ve mentioned the Green New Deal, I have always believed — and I have worked on it — that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter, to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act. We have set goals for the United States of America, and, by extension, the globe, around when we should meet certain standards for a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as an example, that value has not changed. My value around what we need to do to secure our border, that value has not changed. I spent two terms as the attorney general of California prosecuting transnational criminal organization, violations of American laws regarding the passage — illegal passage of guns, drugs, and human beings across our border. My values have not changed.”

So, most likely Kamal will, post election, resort to her former self with the explanation that she has not changed. Good to know yes but hardly a surprise.

NOTHING CHANGED except she is trying to convince people she is reasonable. But she just talks in circles and still believes in the radical positions she has held for decades.

If her values have not changed since 2019, as she claims, then either she was working against her own values during her term as VP, or she is planning on working against her own values in the future.

For example, Kamala said in 2020 that "Trump’s border wall is a complete waste of taxpayer money and won't make us any safer." Yet, now she supports signing the immigration bill that includes $650 million to continue to build the wall.

Not to mention her changes on fracking, medicare for all, the Green New Deal, and others issues.

I'm looking forward to the debate where maybe, just maybe, she'll be forced to answer the following question: If your values have not changed, why has your positions changed?

She is screwed if there is even a half-assed effort to run her to ground on this.

I haven't been getting all worked up and vocal with politics lately as I normally do.

It's stressing me out to the point of feeling very angry and avoiding it, even on social media.

THEY are all a joke, I know what's going on and I know who I am voting for 😊

I watched the interview late at night with an appropriate bag of stale chips and bottled water.
Dull and useless.

So was the interview

According to this source, Harris DROPPED several points in the polling data after her softball CNN job interview.
