Happy Birthday To Me...Let it Snow

wakeupcall

My wife bought this for me for my birthday. Just got it home yesterday. Just add snow and should be a good time.

It looks as good as it did from the pictures on Ebay and runs great. The two guys that did this ground up restore did an awesome job on it. It has 62 miles and 64 hours on it since the rebuild. Everything looks awesome.

It is a 1974 1642 Tucker, not 1976 as advertised on Ebay. Turns out they did not need to sell because they were having a baby or getting married, as was posted in another thread, they have another one they want to restore and wanted to make room in the shop to do it.

Heres some Pics

Thanks guys, I showed it to her on the forums and she said she had to have it, good thing my birthday came along so she would have a reason to buy. She probably does not love me as much as I am lovin her-lol:in_love:

Congrats & Happy birthday , Very nice looking rig . I sure hope you aint expecting nothing for Christmas :w00t2:

Happy Birthday,

My wife bought me shorts and socks..........
And took me out to dinner for my birthday.

That is one great b-day present! Please post more pics when you get her in some deep stuff. That cat is centerfold material!

I agree, that's one b-day present that's gonna be hard to match.
Happy Birthday wakeupcall, hope she works as good as she looks.

Heck I'd have been happy with just the electronic instrament cluster!

Really looking forward to getting her out in the snow, I will post some pics once we do. I hear that if two or more people pray for the same thing it will happen, needing one more praying for snow and we should be there.:snow2_smi: Thanks for all the birthday wishes. You are right it will be difficult to top that for her birthday, I have a whole year to come up with something...maybe I'll get her new tires for the trailer, since we had a flat right as we hit town when bringing it home.

Still thinking about the birthday gift for her, any suggestions? Other than a new husband without addiction to sno cats:yum:

all ihave to say is i wished my wife would get me something like that well i guessing you should be looking for some thing with a big piece of carbon on it and i don't mean coal

Just a few more pics of the newest addition to the cat family. My wife decided on a name as seen in pics! Also cut and framed in opening in stainless bed for fuel filler access, much easier than lifting bed up. Especially after tool box is full of survival equipment and tools. Will post a few pics of diff. covers and gaurds after installing them.:smile:Also made some steps to aid in entry and exit , .625 diameter stainless solid round bar seem to help alot. Wakeupcall

That access to the fuel filter looks very professionally done. Thanks for posting more pics.
Looking forward to more.

very nice looking cat, what brand is the instrument cluster?
Boggie, The instrument cluster is made by Dakota Digital. The model in the Tucker ia a VFD3-1005 single 7" diameter VFD system. It seems to be a very neat setup and looks cool too! Can hardly wait to get this cat up on the mountain. Also while replacing diff covers and installing gaurds confirmed that front diff has a locker where as the rear diff is open. Thanks to everybody on this forum there is a wealth of info and some pretty extraordinary restores!! Keep the pics coming. Wakeupcall:clap:

Finally got the new differential covers and guards on the cat. Should keep us from accidentally hitting a rock or stump etc and bending the cover into the ring gear. Here are some pics.

Finally got a chance to take the new machine up to the mountain to play in the snow. Very impressed with the way it performed. Was sinking about 12-14 inches in the powder as you can see differentials were dragging. Great fun, heres some pics :snow2_smi:
